Preteens Aerial & Yoga Mindfulness

Challenging preteens with mindfulness and resilience through fun yoga and aerial movements.

In this 90 mins class, your child will learn values while building skills through play!

Play is far more powerful than what most parents realise.

Play is the best way for the brain to learn. When children are having fun, their bodies produce happy hormones, and they can remember their learning better. Children are more self-regulated, confident, and resilient.

They are open and willing to try new things, and with their growth mindset, they naturally learn and behave better at home and school.

Mindfulness & Yoga

Breathwork improves children’s ability to self-regulate, stay calm and centered. Yoga stories customised by Yvonne brings children to a whole new world of imagination that enhances creativity and possibilities. Advocating the value of being open and willing to learn. Mindful movements help to improve children’s ability to stay focused, and build a growth mindset of, “I can do it”. Yoga with positive affirmations develops the child’s confidence and resilience especially when it comes to balancing – the value of stability before mobility in real life.

Aerial Yoga

An Inversion is a great tool for self-regulation to the central nervous system. Fun and therapeutic environment to flip, rock and swing to improve body and spatial awareness. Being upside down with the help of gravity aligns and decompress the spine, promotes blood circulation and a calming sensory to the brain. Movements in different orientations and directions help develop a strong sense of balance; train the brain’s focus, motor planning and working memory. Being up in the air enhances self-confidence, responsibility and requires good observation and listening skills to move in and out of different poses.

Values we cultivate through fun play activities:

  • Growth Mindset
  • Emotion Regulation
  • Resilience
  • Body Awareness
  • Social Cues

Dress Code

  • Best to wear sports attire. Wear a shirt with sleeves (no sleeveless), direct hammock contact against the skin with tension might be uncomfortable.
  • Wear long pants/tights comfortable for stretches and large movements (no shorts or skirts).
  • No jewellery, clothes with zips or long nails (damage hammock).
  • Bring your own water bottle.

We had a magical time celebrating our son’s birthday at Mindful Space! The kids had a blast mixing colours, playing with foam or splashing around with water - and so did the parents! Vanessa and the team were wonderful and ensured that we had a fantastic day.

Attended parent and child aerial yoga with my 4yo. She absolutely loved the experience. Great that the teaching assistant to parent-child pair ratio was almost 1:1, so it felt really safe (can’t always see how your kid is climbing above you in the hammock). Plus lots of photos and videos were taken by staff which they sent to us after, so we could just be in the moment to enjoy the class without worrying about having to capture the memories like our usual kiasu selves 😁

Recently had a great little adventure with my 4 year old son paddling among the last remaining mangroves in Singapore on Pulau Ubin.
Learned a thing or two about these precious habitats thanks to the guides who knew their stuff and gave us their undivided attention.
And a big thanks to Vernessa for getting us into this fun activity in the first place! Looking forward to get the rest of the clan on the water.

I'm so glad we chose to send our child to Mindful Space for their 5-day mindfulness holiday camp. One of the best decisions I can make for my growing child with emotional regulation issues. I'm very grateful for the inviting space and to the caring teachers and committed founder for their effort in providing detailed observations and reasons of my child's behaviours, and how we can augment and provide support at home. Definitely recommend this space for anyone who's looking for a meaningful activity to engage your growing child! P/S: We are also looking forward to weekly aerial yoga sessions :)
