Centre Guidelines

for Parents & Children

Join us in creating a mindful space for everyone



  • Leave shoes outside centre.

  • Arrive at least 10 minutes before class to help your child/children ease into the environment.

  • Studio opens 5 minutes before start of class.

  • If you arrive too early before start or end of class, wait at NAS Workspaces (L1, open 9am – 6pm). 

  • Stroller parking is behind Centre on Level 2.

  • If your child starts feeling unwell during the class, we will notify you to pick up your child.


A child should not attend any programme in these cases:


  • Fever above 38 C

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • Any illnesses diagnosed to be infectious eg. hand, foot mouth disease, chicken pox, measles

  • Cold symptoms in development (eg. coughing, sore throat and ears, coloured nasal mucus)

  • Unexplained and persistent pain or headaches (that warrant a diagnosis)

  • Undiagnosed rash

  • Skin/eyes infection that might be worsened by movement

  • Difficulty in breathing (wheezing, persistent coughing etc)

  • Suspected or confirmed head lice

  • Any other symptoms that affect the child or the class, requiring medical attention/diagnosis.


If your child has any pre-existing condition, please prepare the crucial devices in cases of emergency. Eg. Inhaler for asthma

Studio rules


  • To ensure focus for all, children to keep their own toys/books/electronic gadgets in their bags at all times during class.

  • No food and beverages to ensure cleanliness, hygiene and safety. Participants can bring in plain water in non-spill water bottles.


Therapy Swing


  • Reserved for use by children with special needs under close supervision

  • 20kg weight limit


Appropriate attire


  • Comfortable clothing (eg. pants and leggings) for a greater range of movement, which enhances positive expression of self during activities

  • Only non-slip socks/bare feet are allowed on mats to avoid slipping


Suggestions for emotional outbursts during class:

  • Stand firmly and rock the child gently

  • Hug the child lovingly

  • Bring the child for a brief walk outside the centre

  • Give the child a drink of water

The parent may return to class when the child is calmer.

Caring for the premises


  • We hope that everyone who comes to Mindful Space will care for the premises. We are providing quality props, acoustic panels, shock absorption flooring and more, to create the most conducive environment for learning. If damages occur, parents would be notified; replacement/repair cost may apply in some cases after review.

Parents’ Participation


  • For Positive Focus parent & child programmes (above age 7), the last 20 min is for parents to join the class and share in their children’s learning. We encourage you to model punctuality to the class.

  • Parenting workshops are meant for adults only.



  • All payments are non-refundable.
