There are many things mentioned to women before we become mothers. Like sleepless nights, tantrums and terrible twos. Or one of my favorite sayings “Small children small problems, big children big problems” and all that this entails.

One thing that no one told me or I find is not talked about enough is Motherly guilt. I don’t know about you but I was completely unprepared for the motherly guilt that seem to hit most mothers off guard.

What is motherly guilt exactly, why do we feel this and most importantly what to do when we feel this paralyzing emotion?

Motherly guilt is often a misunderstood emotion and the good news is that there are hands-on ways to work with this feeling to free us mothers from it’s grip.
